Terms
Last updated: 09 October, 2026.
1. Introduction and Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website nyaysha.in ("Website"), including every page, post, article, judgment note, opportunity listing, comment, notification, newsletter and other material made available on it. The Website is owned and operated by Nyaysha ("we", "us", "our").
By accessing, browsing, reading, subscribing to, commenting on, or otherwise using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms, and that you are at least 18 years of age or are using the Website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of the Website.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer and Copyright & Reproduction Policy, each of which forms part of these Terms by reference.
2. About the Website
nyaysha.in is an online legal information and legal awareness platform serving readers in India and elsewhere. The Website publishes, among other things:
- news, updates and reports relating to the judiciary, courts, tribunals, regulators and the legal profession;
- summaries, notes and commentary on judgments, orders and developments in law;
- information about internships, job openings, moot court competitions, conferences, seminars, call for papers, fellowships, scholarships and other professional or academic opportunities;
- articles, explainers, opinions, interviews and curated links to third-party sources.
The Website is intended as a general information resource for students, advocates, researchers, journalists and members of the public. It is not a law firm, a court, a government body, a recruitment agency or a placement service.
3. Hosting on Blogger (Google) and Your Relationship With the Platform
You acknowledge and agree that:
- The Website is currently published on Blogger, a service operated by Google. It was previously available at lawrelatedinfo.blogspot.com and now operates at nyaysha.in. Content, posts and pages published on the earlier address may remain accessible at that address, may be duplicated on the custom domain, and may continue to be indexed by search engines.
- Your use of the Blogger platform, including the commenting system, subscription and follow features, and any Google account you use to access them, is also governed by Google's Terms of Service, the Blogger Content Policy and Google's Privacy Policy. Where these Terms conflict with Google's terms in respect of the platform itself, Google's terms will prevail for the platform, while these Terms govern your relationship with us in respect of the Website's content and your conduct on it.
- Hosting, storage, comment infrastructure, email or feed delivery and other technical features are provided by Google. We do not control the Blogger platform and are not responsible for its availability, downtime, errors, policy decisions, or any change, suspension or discontinuation of Blogger features that may affect the Website.
- If you sign in with a Google account to comment, subscribe or follow, your account details are processed by Google under its policies. Any display name, profile photograph or other information you make public through Blogger may be publicly visible on the Website, and we have no control over that visibility.
- Because the Website is hosted on a third-party platform, certain data relating to your visit — such as cookies, comment metadata and analytics — may be collected by Google or other third parties directly. Please see our Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for details.
4. No Legal Advice, No Advocate–Client Relationship, No Solicitation
The content on this Website is provided for general information, education and news reporting only. It does not constitute legal advice, legal opinion, or a recommendation to take or refrain from any course of action, and it must not be relied upon or acted upon as a substitute for professional advice from a qualified advocate or advisor.
- No advocate–client, solicitor–client, consultant–client or other professional relationship is created between you and us, our authors, editors, contributors or any person associated with the Website, merely by your accessing, reading or interacting with the Website, or by any communication sent through it.
- Statutes, rules, notifications, judgments and procedures change frequently. Any law, procedure, limitation period, fee, deadline or remedy referred to on the Website may be amended, overruled, distinguished or superseded by the time you read it.
- Nothing on the Website is intended to be, and nothing should be construed as, advertisement or solicitation of work or professional engagement, including within the meaning of the rules framed by the Bar Council of India or any State Bar Council. Readers who require legal assistance should consult an advocate of their choice who is qualified to advise on the facts of their particular matter.
- If you are involved in, or contemplate, any legal proceeding, dispute, transaction or compliance matter, please obtain independent legal advice specific to your facts before acting.
5. Accuracy, Currency and Sources of Content
We take reasonable care in preparing and publishing content, but we make no representation or warranty that any content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.
- Judgments, orders, notices, circulars, press releases and news items are often drawn from publicly available sources, court websites, official gazettes, news reports or third-party submissions. They may be summarised, abridged, edited for length or clarity, or reported at an early stage.
- A summary or note is not a substitute for the full text of a judgment or order. Where a decision is reported, it may subsequently be stayed, modified, reviewed, appealed or overruled, and the position of law may have changed after publication.
- Headlines, tags, categorisation and dates on the Website are editorial and are not intended to state legal conclusions.
- You should always verify any information from the official or primary source — the concerned court, tribunal, authority, employer, institution or organiser — before relying on it.
6. Opportunity Listings (Internships, Jobs, Moots, Call for Papers and Similar)
A significant part of the Website is devoted to sharing opportunities. Please read this clause carefully:
- Listings are shared for information purposes only. They are not an offer of employment, internship or admission, and we are not an agent, recruiter, placement consultant or representative of any employer, institution or organiser.
- We do not verify, endorse, certify or guarantee the accuracy, genuineness, legality, terms, remuneration, deadlines or outcome of any listing, or of any employer, firm, company, NGO, institution or individual mentioned in it.
- Deadlines, eligibility criteria, application links and contact details may change without notice. The official notification or advertisement of the concerned organisation prevails over anything published here.
- We never charge any fee for publishing a listing, for a job, internship or placement, or for forwarding an application. If any person demands money, documents or personal favours in the name of the Website or of a listing you saw here, treat it as a possible fraud, do not pay, and report it to us at contact@nyaysha.in.
- Any application you make, any engagement you enter into, and any dispute arising out of it is solely between you and the concerned organisation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability in that regard.
7. Comments, User-Generated Content and Community Rules
The Website may allow readers to post comments and other content through the Blogger commenting system. You are solely responsible for everything you post. By posting, you represent and warrant that your content is lawful, and that you own or have the necessary rights in it.
You must not post or transmit content that:
- is defamatory, abusive, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable, or otherwise unlawful;
- threatens, intimidates, stalks, doxxes or invades the privacy of any person, including judges, litigants, advocates, journalists or other readers;
- is false, misleading, or impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation;
- infringes copyright, trademark, confidentiality or any other right of any person;
- contains spam, unsolicited advertising, promotional links, chain messages, phishing or malware;
- discloses confidential information relating to any proceeding, or is otherwise in contempt of any court, or violates any applicable law or court order;
- is unrelated to the post or page on which it is posted.
By posting content on the Website, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, translate, display and distribute that content, in any medium, in connection with the Website, without further notice or compensation to you, and you waive any objection to such use. You retain ownership of your content.
We are not obliged to monitor, review, pre-screen or respond to comments or user content. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to edit, moderate, restrict, refuse to publish or delete any comment or user content, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, and to block or restrict any user, at our sole discretion. Moderation decisions are final. Publication of a comment does not imply our endorsement of it, and views expressed by commenters, guest authors or contributors are their own and not ours.
8. Submissions, Guest Posts and Contributions
If you submit an article, case note, blog post, news tip, photograph, listing or any other material to us, you confirm that:
- the submission is your original work, or you have all necessary rights and permissions to submit it, and it does not infringe any third party's rights or breach any obligation of confidentiality;
- where the submission reproduces, quotes or closely follows any other work, source or judgment, you have attributed it appropriately and complied with applicable law;
- the submission is not plagiarised, and it does not contain material that is defamatory, unlawful, or generated in a manner that misrepresents its authorship.
By submitting material, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, sub-licensable licence to edit, adapt, publish, reproduce, distribute and archive it in any medium, and to use your name or the byline you provide. We are under no obligation to publish, retain or return any submission. We may edit submissions for length, clarity, style, accuracy and legal risk, and may decline or withdraw any submission at our discretion.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
All content created by us and published on the Website — including its design, layout, selection and arrangement, original articles, notes, summaries, headlines, graphics and the "nyaysha" name and marks — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other laws.
You may, for personal, non-commercial and informational purposes: read, view, print and download content; share links to content; and quote short extracts with clear attribution to the Website and a link to the original page. Any other use is prohibited without our prior written permission, including copying, republishing, scraping, mirroring, bulk downloading, feeding into any database or AI training set, or reproducing substantial parts of the Website or of our original content, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
Third-party material — including court judgments and orders, official notifications, press releases, photographs and news excerpts — is reproduced from publicly available sources for reporting, commentary, criticism and public information, and remains the property of its respective owners. We do not claim ownership over such material. If you are a rights holder and believe your work has been reproduced in a manner that infringes your rights, please write to us at contact@nyaysha.in with details, and we will review the matter and remove or amend the material where appropriate.
10. Third-Party Links, Advertisements and Sponsored Content
- The Website contains links to third-party websites, application forms and documents. Such links are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices of any third-party site, and a link does not imply endorsement.
- The Website may display advertisements, including through Google AdSense or other advertising networks. Advertisements are served by third parties, and we do not control which advertisements appear or the data those networks collect. Your dealings with any advertiser are solely between you and the advertiser.
- Some posts may be published in collaboration with, or may be sponsored by, a third party. Where content is sponsored, paid or promotional, we will disclose that fact in the post, in accordance with applicable law and advertising guidelines.
11. Privacy, Cookies and Analytics
Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You should be aware that:
- The Website is hosted on Blogger, and Google and other third parties may place cookies or similar technologies on your device in connection with hosting, commenting, analytics and advertising.
- We may use third-party analytics services to understand readership and traffic. These services collect information about your visits to the Website and other websites over time, under their own privacy policies.
- If you send us an email, a submission or a listing request, we will hold the information you provide for the purpose of dealing with it.
Please review the Privacy Policy and the settings available in your browser and Google account to manage cookies and personalised advertising.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not, in connection with the Website:
- use any robot, spider, scraper, crawler or automated means to access, copy or extract content, except standard search-engine indexing of publicly available pages;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its hosting platform, servers or any related system, or interfere with or disrupt the Website or its security;
- introduce viruses, malware or any harmful code, or engage in any denial-of-service or similar activity;
- use the Website or any content from it to harass, defame or harm any person, or for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or hold yourself out as acting for or on behalf of the Website;
- reproduce, resell or commercially exploit the Website's content without written permission.
We may take appropriate action, including reporting to the platform provider and to law-enforcement authorities, in respect of any breach of this clause.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Website and all content on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties and representations, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Website or the servers that host it are free of viruses or other harmful components. No information obtained from the Website shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we, our publisher, editors, authors, contributors, volunteers and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind — whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary, and whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise — arising out of or in connection with: (a) your access to, use of, or inability to use the Website; (b) any reliance placed on any content, summary, listing, link or statement published on the Website; (c) any error, omission, inaccuracy, delay, interruption or unavailability of the Website; (d) any third-party content, advertisement, website or service accessed through the Website; (e) any opportunity, application, engagement or dispute connected with a listing published on the Website; or (f) any unauthorised access to, or alteration of, your transmissions or data.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Website, its publisher, editors, authors, contributors, volunteers and agents from and against any claim, action, proceeding, loss, liability, damage, cost and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) any content you submit, post or transmit to or through the Website; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (d) your use of the Website.
16. Suspension, Termination and Blocking
We may, at any time and without notice or liability, restrict, suspend or terminate your access to the Website or to any feature of it (including the ability to comment), remove any content, or refuse to publish any material, if we believe that you have breached these Terms or applicable law, or if we consider it necessary to protect the Website, our readers or any third party. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination — including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — shall survive.
17. Grievance Redressal and Takedown Requests
If you have a complaint regarding any content published on the Website — including a request for correction, a claim of defamation, an infringement of copyright or other rights, or a request for takedown — please write to us with full details, including the URL of the content and the basis of your complaint, at:
Grievance Officer: Vivek Bhati
Email: contact@nyaysha.in
We will acknowledge and examine complaints and take such action as we consider appropriate, in accordance with applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules and guidelines framed thereunder. Where content is provided by a third party (for example, a comment, a guest post or a listing submitted by an organisation), please note that our role in relation to such content may be that of an intermediary, and we will act on valid and properly substantiated complaints within the timeframes required by law. Complaints that are anonymous, abusive, or unaccompanied by the particulars necessary to identify the content may not be actionable.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page, with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes take effect on posting. Your continued use of the Website after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Material changes may, where appropriate, also be indicated on the Website.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Website shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes and claims.
20. Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be treated as a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later.
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Disclaimer and Copyright & Reproduction Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Website.
- Assignment: We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms, including in connection with a change of domain, platform, ownership or control of the Website, without your consent.
