Virtual Internship Opportunity at Civis

Civis helps citizens understand laws that impact their daily lives and give feedback on these laws in real time. At Civic Innovation Foundation, they work to enable effective dialogue between Governments and citizens, on laws and policies. Through our online platform Civis, we help citizens share their inputs on upcoming laws with the Government.

Since 2018, Civis has worked on 300+ Consultations, impacting over 16,600 people. Civis has been a recipient of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia award, Agami Prize for Legal Innovation, D-Prize, and two state government awards at the Maharashtra StartUp Summit and Vibrant Gujarat StartUp Summit.

About the Legal Internship Opportunity

Civis is inviting applications for the next cohort of their Policy Leaders Internship Programme. This internship involves hands-on training on the public consultation process and an entryway into understanding public policy in India.

Internship Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Intern would include:

• Conduct research on upcoming public consultations.
• Summarise open consultations.
• Get an opportunity to publish articles and policy analysis on draft policies on Civis’ blog as well as other publications.

Educational Requirements

• Students of law and public policy, in their 3rd year or above, are encouraged to apply.

Internship Duration

• The internship will be for a minimum duration of 12 weeks in the months of July & September and may be extended at the request of the intern, only after approval of the internship coordinator.

Work Location

• The internship would function on a remote working policy.
